30 things to do before you're thirty

30 things to do before you're thirty

Honestly, that Daily Mail article really got my proverbial goat. I turn thirty at the beginning of October and as such, have been spending far too much time of late thinking about all the things I’ve done, all the things I haven’t done, what I thought I would be doing and what I think I should be doing. Honestly, birthdays are exhausting. And who, besides the Daily Mail obviously, gets to tell you what you should and shouldn’t be doing with your life, just because you’re a certain age? I’m totes mature – see?

On the whole, I’m pretty pleased with how my life is working out – I really don’t believe in having regrets and yes, I had to work that one out by wasting a lot of time but still, lesson learned and put into action. But that is where my September challenge becomes difficult. I researched a ton of 30 things to do before you’re thirty lists online and the tricky thing was, I’d already done a lot of them. This is a Good Thing, I realise this. But I need thirty new things to try, one a day for the next month. I already have some but I need MORE. This is where you come in…

I’m accepting all legal and financially viable suggestions and in return I’ll blog the results. I’m not saying I’ll do them all but I’ll definitely consider them – really, it can be anything. For example, so far I’ve got things like ‘shoot something’ (I’m going to a rifle range, don’t panic), volunteer with a charity, see the sunrise on Brooklyn Bridge, throw out everything that doesn’t fit. So they really can be big things, little thing, emo things or fun things. Do your worst…
