Lindsey Loves… Perricone MD Deep Moisture Therapy

About five bloody months ago, I was whining to one of the lovely ladies at Pure Public Relations that my skin was super dry and my regular regime wasn’t cutting the mustard. With much enthusiasm, she pushed a jar of Perricone MD Deep Moisture Therapy into my hand and promised me the world. Like a moron, I took it home and put it on a shelf and NEVER LOOKED AT IT AGAIN.

Cut to March 2014, five months into the LONGEST WINTER EVER. Seriously, New York has made Westeros look like Narnia. At the end of the book. I have never been so cold for so long – seriously, it was minus four a week ago and the following day was forecast to snow. As you can imagine, my skin is still a massive ballsed up mess.

In between weeping over my fine lines and super sensitive skin, I happened to spot the lovely brown jar of Perricone MD goodness on my shelf and thought, sod it, why not give it a shot? I opened the jar, scooped out a thumbnail full of Lurpak-like moisturiser and slapped it on. Holy. Shit. It’s amazing. I’d like to sit here and tell you all about the amazing ingredients (there’s loads of vitamin E. Yay!) but honestly, all I really care about it that it works. The cream looks solid when you scoop it out(seriously, you can rest a five pence piece on it) but as soon as I apply it to my face, it melts right in, disappears almost instantly and feels so, so comforting.

A lot of people have told me they’re not sure about Perricone MD products as they sometimes have a whiff of fishiness that comes from some of the super powerful ingredients. Admittedly, this does have a bit of that but it’s easily overlooked when you see the results on your skin. Within a week, I was waking up with softer, smoother skin and now I’m an absolute convert, so much so that I’ve been eying a bunch of other products from the line… Again, let’s keep this one between us. No need to tell Mr Bank Manager.
