Time for another Twitterati interview! Today it’s Megan from Reading in the Sunshine. Enjoy!
Tell us a little about yourself…
I’m Megan, I’m 24 and I live on the south coast of England with my wonderful husband. I’m a real homely girl, I dream of having a family with my husband and living happily in a little house near the beach. I absolutely LOVE to gush and fangirl about books that I love, I’m VERY enthusiastic! And if you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know all about my not-so-secret crush on Benedict Cumberbatch.
You’re stuck on a desert island for ten years. Which three albums are you taking with you?
Oh gosh TEN YEARS?! But there could be a major album released in that time! I would take a Disney’s Greatest Hits album, because I have so much love for Disney and have always wanted to be a Disney Princess. Also the Spice Girls greatest hits…oh gosh I’m sounding REALLY embarrassing now but I grew up with the Spice Girls and I am FOREVER a fangirl of their songs. Finally I would have the Mamma Mia musical soundtrack…I went to see the musical in London for my birthday a few years ago and I’ve been HOOKED since.
And you can have one person on the island with you… who is it?
My husband Stephen, he is my best friend and he makes me laugh so much! He’s also really clever so he would be the brains behind our survival on the island.
Awww. I hate you. KIDDING! Tell us about your all-time favourite book
The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. It doesn’t matter how many times I read this book – I come out of it sobbing, and just wanting to throw myself on the floor and cry out all my feelings. I am absolutely captivated by Henry and Clare and how their love is infinite through time. I love this book so much I own multiple copies.
If you could travel through time to anywhere, where would it be?
I think I would go back to the 90’s – I loved EVERYTHING about the 90’s – the music, the sweets you could buy, all of the denim…I SO wish denim jackets were still SUPER FASHIONABLE. (I may own two…or three…shhh!)
I don’t know how I feel about that… the 90s were a dark time for me fashion-wise. Moving on, what would be your dream superpower?
I’d quite like to be invisible, I would probably spend my time following Benedict Cumberbatch around his house and drooling over how BEAUTIFUL he is. I’d also probably stalk Ryan Gosling, I believe this is a very productive way to spend my time!
Good call. Congrats! You have unlimited funds and you can buy one thing; what is it?
I would buy a beautiful house in the countryside for me and my family to live in, I’ve always wanted to live in the countryside surrounded by stunning views and lots of space.
What do you see when you look in the mirror?
I see a happy person full of love who is hoping to achieve her dreams.
What would make you happiest right now?
A hot chocolate…I love all the little simple things in life 🙂
And who would play you in the story of your life?
Emma Stone….I feel she would understand all of the embarrassing and awkward moments I have, but she’d have to sing – I sing a lot during the day so maybe it could be a musical too!
